Katahdin Sheep
We raise Katahdin Hair Sheep, our lambs are raised on pasture from start to finish, and receive no administered drugs or vaccinations.
We will begin taking orders Spring 2026.
Rates and Information:
We Butcher in the Fall between October-November. Lambs are between the ages of 7-11 months of age at processing.
Lambs sold by the whole or half lamb.
Our lambs typically range anywhere from 60-85lbs hanging weight.
Our current rate is $5.25 lb. hanging weight for Fall 2026.
Processing is separate and paid to the designated meat locker at time of pickup. We will select the local meat locker based upon availability.
A $50 non-refundable or transferable deposit required to reserve your lamb selection.
Reservation Process:
1) Submit the lamb request form below.
2) Once request has been received you will be contacted by The W5 Ranch and emailed an invoice for the initial $50 deposit.
3) Once payment is received, you will be notified of the date that your lamb is scheduled to be taken to processing.
4) Leading up to your scheduled date you will be invoiced the remaining balance. Your lamb will not be delivered to the processor until payment has been received.
5) The local designated processor will contact you on your cut options, and completion dates.
6) Processing payment will be collected by the processor at the time of pickup at the processing facility.
7) Once lamb has been dropped off at the processing facility our job is done. All questions around cuts, processing and timing must be directed to the designated meat locker.
